This month Epiphany Crafts did a cross promotion with ClearSnap and I was asked to create projects that would promote both companies and make their products shine. It wasn't hard to do, because everything that Epiphany and ClearSnap makes are incredible.

First up is a layout that I created...

Random layout:

I used die cut stars as a mask and sprayed over them with Donna's smooch spritz - seabreeze blue.
I used Clear Snap poolside blue ink to ink around the edges of the title. I used Epiphany crafts star shape
studio tool and star shaped bubblecaps.

next is a card...

Have a sweet day card:

I used Donna Salazar smooch spritz colors - tea party and mixed berries on the lollipops and stamped the lollipop images with the Razzberry inkpad.
The sentiment is also stamped in Razzberry.
I used Epiphany Crafts button studio round 14, and round 14 acrylic buttons.

and last I have another layout...

Follow your Dreams layout:

supplies used:
I used EC round 14 button studio maker and round 14 acrylic buttons
Clear snap: watermark ink pad
pumpkin pie ink
Smooch frosted aqua pearlized accents
pralines and cream smooch spritz
Smooch Ocean soul pearlized accents

I used Clear snap: watermark ink pad on the flowers then embossed with clear embossing powder. After the flowers dried I rubbed on pumpkin pie ink (from the poolside collection), then added details to to the flowers using Smooch frosted aqua pearlized accents. I used pralines and cream smooch spritz on the bracket photo borders (bottom left, and top right). I also wrote the words follow your dreams in Smooch Ocean soul.

I had so much fun designing these projects, thanks for letting me share!

Life is better with you

Good morning friends, looking forward to a fun Saturday. I am taking my daughter to a cheer performance, then scrapping with some of my local friends - Ashley Newell, Marie Ramirez, Tricia Wilson, and Kristi Lewis.

I wanted to share with you a recent layout that I made for Epiphany Crafts using their round 14 shape studio tool, round 14 bubblecaps, and felt flowers.

Life is better with you:

Tip- I Created a fun border by cutting my felt flowers in half and lining them up on the page, then adding custom shaped epoxies from Epiphany Crafts.
Pattern paper: Remnant paper, junk drawer paper - Odds and Ends collection (Cosmo Cricket)
All systems go paper - Rocket age collection (October Afternoon), Pearls paper - Portrait collection (Crate paper)
Twin lakes paper -Campy Trails collection (American Crafts), Giclee paper - Out of print collection (Basic Grey),
kindle paper - sunshine broadcast collection (Sassafrass Lass)
tools: round 14 shape studio tool, round 14 bubblecaps, felt flowers (Epiphany Crafts)

I cut their felt flowers in half to create a fun border across the bottom of my page. So fun!
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your Saturday.

Back to school altered book cover

Hi everyone,

I hope that your school year is off to a great start. My kids are always looking for covers for their school books so for my project this month I decided to make an altered book cover.

I purchased a canvas banner page at my local scrapbook store.

I decided to fold the canvas in half. Then I took out my paints, and created my own stamp by first cutting an apple in half.
Then applying a coat of paint.

I did this on the inside of the canvas page too.

After the paint dried, I added some fun GCD papers from the Elementary My Dear collection by Heather Tozzi.

Here is a up close shot of the cover:
I also added a fun mini chalkboard that I found at Joann's, and I created my own fun little pocket to hold pencils in.

and a look at the inside:
This will make a fun cover for a small book or notes.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope this inspires you to create your own alerted book cover, and make your own stamp in the
process too!

gleek out!

can you tell I am getting excited??? Glee returns to tv tonight and after a long awaited summer you can bet that my family
and I are going to be watching it.

Yup, we are full fledged gleeks and proud of it. We didn't start out that way. I heard all my friends talking about it for the longest time, but we had never seen an episode. Then we saw it on Netflix one day and decided to watch the first episode. It was so addicting that we watched 3 episodes in a row that night. We have seen every episode since, and the whole family enjoys it together.
Kalee even likes to dress the part. So I decided to create a fun layout about her love for wearing nerd glasses.

Nerd love layout:

I created this using Promenade paper from the Journey collection from Authentique. I love the pattern on this paper, and thought that it was perfect for this fun trendy layout. I also added some of their petite circle type stickers, and some clear epoxies from Epiphany crafts. The die cuts were all made using my Slice machine with the just chillin teen card. So fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

Bright sunshine-y Monday!

Hi friends,
I hope that your Monday is off to a great start. I have been under the weather with a head cold that we seem to be passing around our house. I am the last in my household to get it, so I knew that it was bound to happen. Our weather is supposed to be in the mid 90's today, so that is cheering me up a bit.

I wanted to share a layout that I recently made using the Blissful collection from Authentique.

Share your smile layout:

This layout is about a friendship with my friend and neighbor

I love the papers in this collection they are so bright and cheerful!

I used the front and backsides of Felicity paper:

I backed it with Pleasant paper:

for the title I used the share your smile tag from the Icons sheet:

and for embellishments, I made cute little butterflies out of photo corners from the tag sheet:
these butterflies were so fun and easy to make. I just added buttons and Divine twine from Whisker Graphics.

I will be back tomorrow with a fun project that I made using the Journey collection.
Thanks for stopping by!

cute puppy post

Hi friends,
I have been neglecting my blog lately because I have been distracted by this little cutie:

Welcome Kona!

Kona is 9 weeks old. We were able to bring her home and welcome her to the family last week. Kona's mom is a long haired daschund spaniel mix (we are not sure about her dad). She was dropped off at a local shelter while pregnant with a litter of pups. The shelter was full and didn't want to take Kona's mom because they had just experienced an outbreak of Parvo and it could put Kona's mom and her babies at risk. So my friend Shari, who signed up to be a foster mom for the shelter took her in temporarily. Kona's mom gave birth to her litter of puppies that night. She had 6, but 5 of them had health problems and sadly Kona was the only survivor of the litter.

She is strong, she is healthy and has boundless amounts of energy. We wanted to give her a Hawaiian name to fit in with her sisters Roxy and Lilo. We thought that Kona fit her personality well because she has as much energy as a pot of coffee! Also her fur is this beautiful brown mix. Kona has adjusted well to her home and spends most of her day playing with her sister Lilo,
and has even tried to milk her a few times. I think that she thinks Lilo is her Mom :)

I have been working on some fun projects for Authentique.
I have some sneak peeks to show you and will post the full reveal soon.

Thanks for stopping by! I will be back with some fun projects tomorrow.
